What do you learn in the A1 Dutch course?

Course information: Dutch A1

The aim of this course is to develop your language skills to reach the A1 level. You learn to introduce yourself, greet and say goodbye, make appointments, make a proposal, order and thank, ask questions and give information and shop. You practice grammar: present tense, modal verbs, "will", imperative, questions and question, "inversion", personal, possessive and demonstrative pronoun, comparative and superlative, plural, adjective and denial.

During this course we work with the following course materials: the book Nederlands in Gang (including e-learning), the Van Dale Dutch Picture Dictionary, the YouTube channel of Lest Best (grammar videos), Quizlet and the Lest Best study guide A1.

During this course you will take various tests and assignments: grammar, speaking, pronunciation and intonation and vocabulary. After completing the course you will receive a certificate with your results. We also look at your motivation and effort during the course. If these are sufficient, you can continue with the follow-up course: Dutch A2.
