Would you like to learn to communicate effectively in Dutch about a wide range of topics? In this B2.2 course, you will develop your language skills step by step up to B2 level. You will learn how to describe past events, express your opinion with arguments, describe statistical figures, give a presentation, offer advice, express a complaint, and respond to a complaint. In addition, you will speak and read about themes such as (inter)national issues, creativity, and sustainability.
The grammar covered in this course is both reviewed and explored in greater depth. You will practice verb tenses, irrealis, conjunctions, relative clauses, pronominal adverbs, zouden for giving advice, and reflexive (separable) verbs with prepositions. There is also a strong focus on expanding your vocabulary.
Study materials:
We will use the textbook Nederlands op Niveau, chapters 4–6 (including e-learning), the B2.2 study guide from Lest Best, Quizlet, the Lest Best YouTube channel, and additional exercises on compound verbs and fixed prepositions.
Assessment and certificate:
You will complete assignments and tests in speaking, listening, writing, grammar, and vocabulary. At the end of the course, you will receive a certificate with your results.With a positive recommendation, you can progress to the B2+ or C1.1 courses.
This course is designed for people who want to communicate effectively in Dutch at work and in everyday life. It is not aimed at civic integration or state exams.
